PANIC ATTACKS

The sensations of a panic attack will vary from person to person but there are some similar symptoms such as:

  • Heart racing

  • Sweaty

  • Short of breath 

  • Shaking

  • Tingling sensation in some parts of your body

  • Tightness in your chest

While there may be no sign of danger, the body reacts in order to survive and you have no idea why these panic attacks (anxiety attacks) are occurring and that can be very frightening!

Panic attacks typically last between 5 to 20 minutes.

Having gone through a few panic attacks (or anxiety attacks) you often then start to feel a ‘fear of the fear’ and this alone can heighten your anxiety and subsequently a panic attack.

I will help by exploring what is causing your panic attacks, and why.  We will be working to change the way your body responds to triggers and provide you with tools to manage and overcome the anxious feelings.
